Academy Soccer

The Hartford United SC Academy is an accredited Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Academy Program. Our teams are led by licensed, professional coaches. We are proud that our academy program is accredited by the WYSA (Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association). A lot of clubs say “academy” — few are actually accredited!

The purpose of the Hartford United SC Academy program is to utilize USC (formerly NSCAA) and USSF coaching methodology in an academy training format, for U7 through U10 coed players seeking a higher level of soccer.

All practices will be structured and progressive through our professional staff of licensed coaches. The objective in all academy games will be topics covered from previous practices, as development will be the focus over result. The intent is to maximize individual skill development in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere; while preparing players with the skills necessary for our competitive teams beginning at the U11 age level.

The Hartford United Soccer Academy (U7-U10) program is designed for the family and players that would like to establish an early foundation including proper soccer training while having fun. Technical skills and individual development are the focus here, players are training and competing with teams of similar mindsets.

Academy Soccer Overview

Academy training focuses on individual development in order to prepare players for competitive soccer. Individual ball skills, creativity, and love of the game will create passionate soccer players for the next level.

The Academy Program runs under the supervision of the HUSC Academy Director. Coaches are experienced and maintain a minimum of a USSF (United States Soccer Federation) “E” license.
Teams are made up of players with similar abilities and skill level, however we reserve the right to realign rosters/player placement to assure the best possible experience.

Boys and girls U7-U8 play 4v4 (no goalkeeper).
Boys and girls U9-U10 play 7v7 (including goalkeeper).
Academy teams may “play-up” in age to align skill levels, competition – with a focus on enjoyment as well as player development.

Time Commitment: Teams practice twice a week for about 1.5 hours each in August – October, and April – early June. Games are typically on Saturdays. Occasionally games are rescheduled for Sundays due to conflicts and weather. Games last one hour.

Winter indoor training/futsal required and is an additional cost based off of what facility your team plays at.
