How many years have you been on staff with Hartford United SC?  17 years

Why do you coach youth soccer?  A passion (addiction) for player development (character & technical) as well as teaching small and large group tactics.

What is the best advice you could give young players?  Coachability, respect and hard work are choices.  Work with the ball in your free time.  Mistakes are growth opportunities – get comfortable being uncomfortable.

What is your favorite hobby (outside of soccer)?  Hiking the UP of Michigan with family.

What is your favorite movie?  At Close Range

What is your favorite food?  Black coffee

Did you play soccer growing up? – If so, how many years?  I never grew up — yes, 15 + years (youth & adult).

Who do you look up to as a coaching mentor?  Gareth Smith – US Virgin Islands, Sr. Staff

Why HUSC?  For me it’s the culture, the emphasis on development, competition, and character.  Facilitating an environment where life-long relationships are formed – that’s what many don’t see.  I love it when old players stop by for training or a game or when they come back to coach.  Those bonds are unbreakable (DN).

Coaching for HUSC is a privilege and a huge part of my life – it’s a family.
