I was number 17.
Where are you currently playing and what position(s) are you playing?
I am currently playing at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and I am playing Wing Midfield.
Do you have a goal to play professional soccer after college?
Yes, I have the dream of playing professional soccer after college.
Do you plan to coach once your playing career is over?
Yes i will always love the game and will want to spread my expertise and knowledge of soccer to the younger generation.
Were you excited or nervous to join HUSC?
I was very excited to join Hartford because all my friends were playing on the team and I knew the coaching staff.
Any memories of the transition to HUSC that you can share for new players joining us?
Making the transition is hard for some people but right away you need to make a name for yourself and make sure everybody knows you.
If you could meet up with one HUSC coach for breakfast who would it be and why?
Jim Schrot for sure, because we have so much in common and he has been around my family for a long time now and we have great conversations about soccer and life in general.
If you had to do it all over again, is there anything that you would do different?
If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change much.
What was most important to you in your development as a player with Hartford United SC?
The most important development for me as a player would be getting a great first touch down and passing. Once I had these, I became a major threat on the field because the opposition would have to adjust their game to my ability and they may not be able to adjust quick enough.
What is your proudest accomplishment with Hartford United SC?
My proudest accomplishment as a player at HUSC would be winning the tournament in Schaumburg, Ill at the college showcase. This a great experience for the team because we never expected to win the whole thing and we won it all. We upset some great teams from Illinois including the Chicago Fire.
What advice would you give current players as they set goals in hopes of playing at the college level?
My advice for current players would be that keep practicing and strive for goals. Also you need to decide if you are committed to the game because sometimes when you are training you feel like quitting but you need to keep pushing yourself until you accomplish your goal. If you want to play at the college level get ahold of college coaches early on in your soccer career (U15) so you are able to get your name out in the soccer world. Also work on playing quick and build muscle because the players at the college level don’t back down, they go for every ball. But lastly you always need to give credit to Ronaldo after you score.
